Bush at 35%; Matches the lowest level ever recorded by Rasmussen Reports
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/political_updates/president_bush_job_approval

Thirty-five percent (35%) of American adults Approve of the way that George W. Bush is performing his duties as President. That matches the lowest level ever recorded by Rasmussen Reports

Strongly disapprove at 46%

1. What happened to the 28% approval?
Seems like everytime his numbers go down where they belong.......they magically jump back up. :wtf:

2. Ramussen runs about 8% high because of 'special' way
...they asked the question and give a layered approach:

I always feel the most important value coming from Rasmusen is

46 % Strongly disapprove

4. Different polls phrase the question differently
Newsweek which has the 28% approval rating asks asks, "How would you rate the President's performance?"

Excellent
Good
Fair
Poor

Excellent and Good are added together for approval
Fair and Poor are added together for disapproval

Rasmussen asks the same question but their four option are

Strongly Approve
Somewhat Approve
Somewhat Disapprove
Strongly Disapprove

I do prefer Rasmussen's phrasing because I think the words "good" and "fair" are just too similar in meaning to most people.

As noted by another response the intensity of the respondents, only 16% strongly approve while 46% strongly disapprove, is an amazing number.
