Newt: Debates are issueless "game show contests".
While I have always disagreed with Neutron Newt's politics, he has always been very astute in his observations.

"We have shrunk our political process to this pathetic dance in which people spend an entire year raising money in order to offer non-answers, so they can memorize what their consultants and focus groups said would work," Gingrich said.
...
Ten Republicans and eight Democrats have declared their candidacy for president. Gingrich took particular issue with how they have presented their ideas in crowded debates.
"This idea of demeaning the presidency by reducing it to being a game show contest ... is wrong for America, and I would never participate in it," he said."

Considering that Mike Gravel objected to being more than a "potted plant", does anyone else agree with the game show analogy?

2. Observations from a punk who was too cowardly to take
phone call questions on the Diane Rehm Show last week.

Whether little newty the punk who can't keep a wife is right or wrong, he has no business running our government. He's garbage and he should be set on the curb to be picked up and taken away to that big republican land fill down the road.
