1. The GOP did it on purpose.
But the party has rules. I think the DNC is trying to figure out something later.

It's a shame, but the Florida Dems in the legislature got huffy about the rules and said the DNC meant nothing to them.

Not so bad...what if every state moves up to January. Rules are rules...but they are trying to work out stuff.

Bottom line, if they campaign here until something else is worked out they have accept the lack of delegates. Hillary has said she will for sure.

2. Both DNC and RNC are against it, hard against it. Democracy always counts.

Ironically, the bill that this was tagged onto is a bill for converting the whole state to optical scan voting, replacing the touch screens that are so much trouble (but no machines should be involved at all, imho).

Anyway, Floridians want this and it's not a jab at the DNC by Crist or any Republicans, they're taking grief from their own people. It's state pride, it's focus, and it's 'screw you' to the national committees.

Personally, I think it's just fine. The idea of national parties controlling a state primary is nonsensical. I'd be more supportive of DNC here, as a working Democrat, but minus Dr. Dean (who has been very good), there's 'no there there.' RNC can go screw itself.

Let the people vote, let those who say it won't count show their faces in public and bear the shame of denying votes. That's not what our party does!

3. I disagree.
They will all watch how Florida is handled, and they will start hopscotching if the rules are not followed.

I don't especially care this year. I did care last year, but no one would discuss moving the party up.

It is believed it is being pushed by candidates who are leading here.

I happen to think there have to be some rules. The GOP has as much as said it is to be irritant.

4. As a Floridian, I can't help but think
maybe the Florida primary shouldn't count. Besides, I'm a Georgia voter.

Nah, I'm just in a sour mood tonight.
