Poll question: Do you think the religious right is correct about anything?
Personally, I don't. They're wrong on every single issue.

2. I think they've acknowledged a creator
but then they completely ignored him or what he wanted and instead worried about what they and their maniacal leaders wanted.

so, that's partly right...in my opinion.

3. They are right that children should be allowed to pray and read the Bible in school.
They are just a little confused, because they think that has been banned, when it hasn't.

4. As someone once said, "as long as there are math tests,
there will be prayer in the schools."

15. eStudents are allowed to pray in school but cannot be lead by an employee
of the School District. For example: "See you at the
pole" is an annual meeting for public prayer, generally
organized by conservative Protestant public school students.
As with the National Day of Prayer, Roman Catholics, liberal
Christians, non-Christians, who may wish to create an
inter-faith event at which all theists can participate, are
generally excluded from the organizing committee. Students
gather at their school's flagpole, outside of regular
classroom hours, usually at 7:00 hours local time. Starting in
the year 2006, this observance will be held on the fourth
Wednesday in September." High School students can use
space at the public school to have a bible study. It has to
be lead by a student. There is prayer in schools, but
according to the law is has to be initiated and lead by
students and it is!!!! But, as we Roman Catholics teach,
prayer is first and foremost taught by the parents. It is the
responsibility of the parents to pray with and bless their
children before they go to school. It's not the schools
responsiblity. The problem is not with "taking prayer
out of schools" as now defunct Mr. Falwell would have you
believe, it's with mom and dad not praying with their children
to bless, begin and protect them throughout the day. Faith is
nourished in the FAMILY and at HOME and we will not relinquish
this responsiblity to public schools.

6. I disagree with pretty much all of their politics.
And that Creationist Museum near Cincinnati is nauseating! On strictly spiritual matters, some of what they say can be somewhat mapped to what I believe. That's about it, though.

11. actually, I don't know about that. I think they believe there ARE sinners, I just
don't get the feeling they consider themselves in that group.

they're the modern pharisees...they SHOULD know better, but they are consumed with their own self interests.

14. I think, in general, they are right on this:
I find it true- in GENERAL- that the family unit is the ideal when it comes to raising a child. Just in terms of attention, love, and making sure someone is there and the child is properly socialized. I do not believe in LEGISLATING this ideal, nor do I believe that a homosexual couple is not equally capable of providing this type of structure. This is also not to say that a single parent can't raise a child, only that this is not the ideal situation for the parent or the child.
