What an incredible field we have this time
Our candidates rock! That was probably one of the best debates I have ever seen. I am glad this race started early because this choice needs to be taken seriously and with such an awesome field to chose from making that decision will take some time.

My hats off to all of them. I especially liked them not letting wolf get away with his BS talking points time after time.

1. Big props to Hillary for being willing to slam Wolf. That'll get her more points on DU
than anything else she has said or done so far.

I agree, everyone except Richardson, Kucinich, and Gravel did ok or better.

2. Each one of these candidates would be a vast improvement over B***.
There are ones I like more than others, but each one of them made excellent points.

I'm usually not a big Biden fan, but I'm with him on publicly financed elections.

3. Agreed
and most of them would wipe the floor with the current republican field

6. I'm not sure that's true
People make huge turns when they get in office.

Who would've thought Bush would've done all this nonsense in 2000?

8. Me!
I was confident before he was ever elected he would get us into a war.

14. Me, too.
I thought that he'd try to turn the rest of the country into Texas. I lived there for a year and I didn't want to see it spread, at least the political Texas.

5. I agree.
It was a really spectacular debate on many counts and that's the consensus of the Debate Dinner I threw with about 25 olde-tyme Dem friends. The debate was a most unexpected surprise because the format was amazing and allowed an opportunity for our candidates to really talk about issues and exchange ideas.

As a life-long Democrat, I can't recall a time when we had a better, more attractive, smarter field.

10. Disagree whole heartedly
Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 02:13 AM by Egnever
Ghepart was an awful candidate as was bob graham as much as he was right. Al sharpton and Moseley Braun????? Kerry couldn't beat bush how sad is that? Wesley is much better today than he was then. Kucinich and Edwards are both here for round two....Joe lieberman? HAHAHA

Of the whole pack last time the only ones I would like to see again in this one are Howard and perhaps wesley. I would like to see what Wesley could do now that he has some more political experience.

A better field last time though? No way.

We have some very solid candidates this time I have confidence that several could convincingly beat any of the republican offerings.

12. It was brilliant and the new format facilitated a really good debate.
Can't wait to see how the format backfires on the Republicans. They are better served by 30-minute slogans and soundbytes and will be left with their pants around their ankles if they have a more free-form format to deal with. Hee-hee.

13. Have to agree on the format
and as much heat as wolfy is taking. I think it wouldn't have been the same debate without him. Several times he forced candidates to answer the original question(I liked that actually) and he also seized on some points that were very relative to the discussion.

I am no fan of wolfy by any means and I think some of his questions were very loaded but I think his dumber questions also gave the candidates a chance to shine by not buying into his more ridiculous premises

15. Choosing will be difficult for me
So much possitve in these candidates. Last time arround I had one horse and there was little room for others. This time there are several I would be happy to see get the nod.
