Casandra's Predictions: No Pardon for Scooter
Not only will Scooter spend 30 months in jail, but Karl and W are prepared to throw Cheney into the bargain, so long as it stops there. Whether Cheney will take a job with Halliburton in Dubai, or just "retire" to escape the consequences of his betrayal of Valerie Plame and the nation, depends on whether he's incapacitated by his serious health problems at the time. Never fear, Scooter will get his payoff, that's been written up already in blood sommewhere.

So Dick can spend the rest of his short and unnatural life in great comfort, if he has a good sense of timing, and if BFEE doesn't stab him in the back before he makes good his escape. In fact, it's a wonder that the Big Dick hasn't fled already--but that would really tear the curtain off the Oz machine. When he goes, he'll never see his home country again, but I don't think he'll suffer, nor will we. Even Mary and her son will be happier, I'm sure.

So I don't see Lynn Cheney taking the Senate appointment from Wyoming either.

1. It is said that Scooter gets a million a day for each day behind bars - sounded high to
me - but I am sure he has a good "contract".

2. That's A Lot of Millions
It would be worth it--and he'd not be pressing for a pardon under those terms, not for several days, anyway!
