Ghouliani Says He'd Consider Increasing U.S. Troops in Iraq
Yeah, we just need to be "educated"...Good luck with that one Rudy-patooti.

Giuliani Says He'd Consider Increasing U.S. Troops in Iraq

By Catherine Dodge and Peter Cook

June 14 (Bloomberg) -- Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani said he would consider adding U.S. troops in Iraq if the head of military operations there, U.S. Army General David Petraeus, asked for them.

``If he said the strategy was working, and we needed more soldiers to make it work,'' Giuliani said in an interview yesterday, ``of course I'd look at that and consider that.''

Giuliani, 63, said he knew such a decision would be unpopular. ``Leadership is about sometimes doing the things that you know are right'' and then educating the public, he said.

4. Giuliani will say ANYTHING at this point.
Things we can look forward to hearing from Rudy:

  • "Gun ownership should be mandatory for every citizen in America. And not just ownership -- we all should carry concealed firearms. More than one -- a gun on your belt, in your coat, in your purse, in your boot. The world is not safe after 9/11. I know this because I was there."
  • "Fetal stem cell research is wrong. I don't believe that pregnant women should be hunted down like animals and have their babies forcibly taken from their wombs for the sake of hideous cloning. The world is not safe after 9/11. I know this because I was there."
  • "'Taxes? What taxes? What is a tax?' That is what the American people will be saying after eight years of the Giuliani administration. There should be no taxes because they are unfair. And they are dangerous. Terrorists like taxes. The world is not safe after 9/11. I know this because I was there."
  • "God and Jesus belong in the classroom. No child should be left behind, and no child should be left out of Jesus's group hug. The separation of church and state is a myth. When I'm President, every school will be a parochial school. Why? Because terrorists fear Jesus. The world is not safe after 9/11. I know this because I was there."

  • Can't wait.

6. I thought Rudy was gonna leave Iraq up to others?
Wasn't it just yesterday?
Has he come to realize that presidential candidates DO IN FACT NEED TO ADDRESS IRAQ?

By ratcheting it up even further, it sounds...
