"Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised" ever hear of this book? You should, it is
The most important book to read/study if you ever hope to get anything done in the political sphere. Every meeting or political caucus is somehow connected to these rules. This book is like the umpire at a ball game. Whoever knows the rules usual wins. IMO, a quick read would settle many of the ongoing and senseless arguments here about the way government functions.

1. We used them in grade school class meetings
I thought everyone was taught how to conduct a meeting using Robert's Rules of Order when they were in 6th grade.

3. When I was in the 6th grade we had to report on the House Committee for Un american Activities and
say a prayer for the good Senator from WI. Today I doubt the 6th grade teacher ever heard of Roberts Rules of Order.

4. Catholic school?
Because all through the '50s, I went to public school, and never had any prayers said.
