We have a wonderful slate of Dem candidates...lets give all of
them a break and the respect they are due at this time and lets talk about issues. There will be plenty of time for bloodletting and it should be the Repubs whose blood gets let! Whoever gets the Dem nomination will be a breath of fresh air for this country.

Than I feel free to say I like Biden. Saw him this a.m. and so far he is my favorite. He doesn't beat around the bush, he let's you know where he stands on issues and his views on foreign affairs is impressive. If Clark gets in, it's a different game. Going to send a couple of bucks via DU to him. Already sent a few $$ via DUI.

Raven: Noticed you are from New Hampshire. Have you seen many of the candidates and what are your opinions. We in the midwest seldom See a real candidate.

5. So, if we don't have anything good to say about
the DLC warmongers, we should STFU?

6. I don't think that's at all what's being said. I think it more a call to realize
that any one of ours is lightyears better than any one of theirs.

That's the way I read it, anyway.

8. "We have a wonderful slate of Dem candidates
and we should give them a break and show respect", is crap.

We have DLC warmongers running on the Democratic ticket. I will not give them a break, nor do I respect them.

We are going through a primary. A primary is when voters decide who they think would be the best to lead our country after two on going wars.

A candidate that has said publically that we should bomb Iran, is the last thing our country needs now.

16. Yes, which Dem candidate advocates bombing Iran?
Seems like somebody dropped their own bomb, and then ran away. But I think it's a dud.

Oh yeah, kicked...

Any of the Democratic candidates would be infinitely better than anybody running on the Right.

17. In my mind, the only acceptable candidate would build a campaign around limiting corporate power
The war, global warming, health care- all of these issues are caused primarily by the extent of corporate control and lack of corporate accountability in this country. Of course breaking corporate hegemony isn't some magical panacea, but it is the major step we need to take as a country if we are going to reverse all of the damage of this administration.

None of the First- or Second-Tier Democrats are talking about making the necessary changes. Any Democrat is definitely better than any Republican, but the only "breath of fresh air," IMO, would be someone who speaks truth to power. Any candidate who does not take on this issue can only have my support as the lesser of two evils.

18. I don't believe that - in some ways the air will still be stale with deceit and coverup
We believed in 1992 when Bill won that all the deceit and coverups would be exposed and our democracy would be restored with truth and sunshine.

That DIDN'T happen, though we were kept distracted by many other nonimportant issues while Poppy's crimes of office went the private route, away from congressional scrutiny.

Do we want this to happen AGAIN or will Democrats be smart enough to support anti-corruption, open government Democrats instead of FOBs - Friends of Bushes?
