I am delighted more Hillary people are supporting her at DU
It shows what Hillary has been saying again and again over time she slowly wins people over, even her harshest critics by her intelligence, hard work, and laser-beam focused determination.

And for those people who have issues with Hillary supporters, all I've got to tell you is you've aint seen nothing yet.

Over the next few months, there will be many more of us.

1. You guys DEFINITELY have more here than many of the other Democratic sites !!!

Not exactly friendly territory at a few of the other places ... but that's what's so cool about DU!

Your candidate can be praised till you're blue in the face..

Other candidates can be praised until their supporters are blue in the face..

We'll run into a little.. ..along the way.

But in the end --------> it's going to be whoever wins the nomination!

And the exciting part is... we have NO IDEA who it's going to be!!!

2. I think Larissa has it pegged
I also notice there has been a toning down of the "I HATE _______"
posts of late, which is a good thing. "For" is always more
interesting than "against" when it comes to our own party.

For the record, I have met Hillary a few times, as well as
Al Gore and Barack Obama, and they all have the personal
skills that go with the job. Obama especially has that magic
charisma that Bill Clinton used so effectively to go from
obscurity to President in a relatively short time. Al Gore
has great one-on-one skills and a towering intellect (which
is one reason I think he'd be comfortable with Wes Clark),
and Hillary has not only great charm, but a sharp sense of
humor as well (check out her "Hillary Gump" video from 1995
if you can find it). She's not a demon, and she's not perfect.
So what else is new?

I would be OK with her as a candidate, but that goes for some
of the others as well. I'm still hoping for Al Gore for the sole
reason that he's the guy I most want running the country, but I'm not
holding my breath. There is only one thing that really terrifies
me, and that is the thought of the next Supreme Court Justice being
nominated by a Republican president. So as for our candidates, let
a hundred flowers bloom, let a hundred schools of thought contend,
but come November, do NOT let a Republican win the White House.

3. I learned a valuable lesson yesterday from some of her harshest critics
And that lesson is I don't need to worry about them. Some people will always be in the super minority.

9. Winning friends and influencing people
If I were on Hillary's campaign I would serve him a tall, refreshing glass of STFU since he tends to do more harm than good.

11. Things have definitely changed over the last few months.
About six months ago, any Hillary post attracted negative people piling on top of it, but that's toned down considerably. The next debate is July 23rd, I think, on CNN again. I always knew that Hillary's debating skills would help her a great deal; it's one of her best assets.

13. When the RW/MSM smear campaign goes into high gear her approval
will soar. Sounds crazy I know but Bill's highest ratings came during the partisan impeachment hearings.

Americans love the underdog (and the Big Dog) and hate lies.

15. It's the same people posting over and over again...
...and i'm sure most of them are paid for by her campaign.

Her numbers remain the same in the polls. Mid 30s. Where it's been from the beginning.

16. I'd be REALLY surprised to hear that people here are paid to post
Sure, plenty of people will work ON a campaign, and
have strong feelings about one or more candidates,
some positive, some negative, but PAID operatives
taking their time to post here? When Frank Luntz
starts trying to post rebuttals here like he does on
the Huffington Post, then maybe I'll believe it.

Most of the "anti-" posts on DU are attached to either
emotional tirades or factual documentation. I'd expect
paid operatives, for whichever campaign, to be a little
smug, and linking questionable stuff about their opponents.
There's a little of that, but not (that I have perceived)
a massive wave that smells of a paid coordinated campaign.

Maybe I have it wrong, but the DU seems more like a Vox
Populi forum than a place where paid operatives for this
campaign or that lurk. If a campaign is paying someone, it's
for the purpose of changing other people's minds about something.
Most of the DU posters I have seen appear to be able to think
for themselves, whether I agree with them or not, and don't
seem like very receptive targets for anyone's dirty tricks team.

Maybe I'm completely wrong, but that's the impression I get.
