No matter what the polls say or how much the MSM spins it, Iraq withdrawal is a big issue in 2008
Levin's op-ed coming on the heels of the TBA conference proves it.

The writing is on the wall: Americans (not just Democrats) want out of this war!

In the run up to the 2006 elections, the media did the same thing, downplaying the impact Iraq would have on the elections, before the Democrats realized that Iraq was the issue.

Bob Herbert: Until the War Ends ...

At $2 billion plus per week, Iraq is the issue.

1. Yes, it will absolutely be an issue in 2008, and it shouldn't be because
we should get out in 2007. The American people are fed up with the pretense that this war is anything but a disaster. They are sick of seeing our troops blown up in a mindless mission - riding up and down streets in the middle of a civil war. There are still six months left in 2007, and if our politicians were not blind to their responsibilities, they would get us out NOW.
