Huge ''Wildlife'' Meth Problems In National Parks and Forests
I must admit that I hadn't been aware that the nation faced a big problem with meth using wildlife. Obviously, another oversight by the MSMs keeping such vital news from us.

But apparently its an even bigger problem in Missouri because Republicant Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (R-Dipstick) has earmarked $500,000 smackeroos in the Interior Department's funding bill for http://i.a.cnn.net/cnn/2007/images/06/22/house.interior.pdf">Methamphetamine Prevention at the Mark Twain National Forest. (PDF House Earmark file)

Those poor, poor deers addicted to meth. Its no wonder animals sometimes attack!!! They're all hopped up on speed!!!

5. Page 13....
...last item on the list.

And the funding is not for meth contamination or cleanup. I know meth is a problem as I live in TN where its been cooked up in those toxic labs located mostly in small country towns.

This funding is slated for "meth prevention." Apparently this prevention is to be carried out by law enforcement in national parks and forests.

Maybe they just want to buy a bunch of those addicted meth pics to scare all the animals kids with....

7. I recall a forest fire in OR or Northern CA about 5 years ago...
started by a meth lab way out in a national forest....is that the overlap with the bill?

8. I'm not sure how "meth prevention" funding....
...for law enforcement will play with the meth lab drug folks. Which is the main problem with earmarks. They don't get the kind of hearing and analysis like funding requests coming from federal departments and agencies would.

I don't know, maybe a relative of hers owns a poster company and the "Don't Use Meth" posters haven't been moving as well as they thought they would????
