DES MOINES — Singer Paul Simon hopes to keep Sen. Chris Dodd's Democratic presidential hopes from slip-sliding away.

Simon will join Dodd for two days of a July 3-7 bus tour the Connecticut senator is making across Iowa. Simon will take part in stops in northern and western Iowa.

"Simon and Dodd have been close friends for many years, and Simon has been a longtime Dodd supporter," said Taylor West, a spokeswoman for Dodd's Iowa campaign. — AP

1. It's good of Paul Simon to support his friend, and all, but
I fear that Chris Dodd's campaign in 8 months will be more like the "Sounds of Silence."

3. Is he still married to Edie Brickell?
I was never a Paul Simon fan, but Edie Brickell is a different story.

5. I believe they are
and Edie released a new CD a couple years ago - the first in quite a while. I didn't particularly care for it - expected better.

7. I didn't know that.
She was so great on her first two albums. Green was kind of a letdown, but I never even heard about another album release after that.
