I just contributed to John Edwards

I saw him on C-Span at a $15 fund raiser saying the exact thing I have been saying about energy: That we needed to be patriotic about something besides war and do something for the good of the country(which is to conserve energy) Then we need to be serious about alternative fuels. This will create a million or more jobs. The Mid East will be forced to change. We will be able to export something no one else is able to make in any great volume(ethanol or whatever supplants ethanol) to ease our trade imbalance. I have never heard it explained so well. It's really something to see someone capture your vision and then go a step further. I think John Edwards is the only candidate to capture our values of helping working families and keeping our nation strong by forward thinking and taking on problems.

I've never contributed to a political campaign before, but I've never believed in a candidate for president so strongly either.

and that is important. you are connected to a campaign and saying you support this candidate.
and, Edwards needs the money from supporters this week so, he will appreciate it alot.
I am glad you have a good candidate to support and I saw that Cspan as well. mine was on later.

I also saw him on C-span tonight. Barak is certainly preferable to Hillary.

I sent him $20 for many of the same reasons you did. I haven't totally decided between Edwards and Obama. I love Edwards' Small Change for Big Change theme and so I sent him some of my small change.

and fair trade issues and I feel he has given more thought to energy and put together a strong vision for that issue. I like Obama and he has a good message too, but for me, Edwards is a better fit.

I want this primary season to be a horse race that goes down to the wire, where Democratic candidates compare their ideas... I don't want a prmary season that's already a forgone conclusion, based on one candidate's ability to raise money.

I'm not sure if Edwards has the political chops to win the primary, but that's not the point... I want Edwards to stay competitive, because it's good for all the candidates... keeps the whole party from getting too lazy.

I hope other DU'ers will kick in a couple of bucks, too. Lets make it a 'real' primary, lets keep the playing field as level as we can.
