"New York, NY (AHN) - CNN has revealed they had to cancel their scheduled Wednesday interview with Michael Moore due to Paris Hilton's upcoming first post-jail televised appearance on "Larry King Live."

Moore was set to talk about his new documentary "Sicko," which focuses on the dwindling and problematic U.S. healthcare system. However, his appearance has now been postponed until Friday. Larry King is expected to ask Hilton about her life behind bars and what she plans for the future. Last week the hotel heiress told Ryan Seacrest, "I want to help build a transitional home so that when inmates leave here they don't have to go back to the street."

She also admitted that she "used to act dumb" and that she now plans to change her image. Hilton was released from the Los Angeles Century Regional Detention Facility early Tuesday after serving 23 days out of her 45 day sentence in jail. She was released on "good behavior."

As for Moore, the filmmaker will give his first primetime "Sicko" interview on "Live." He will also answer calls and e-mails by viewers, beginning at 9 p.m. EST. "

I don't watch Larry King anyway, so this is confusing. Hilton more important than Moore?

This is the stupidest thing I ever heard.

1. Yes Paris IS more important than Moore
It's about ratings. Since most people who watch TV are morons, Paris Hilton would draw a larger audience.

3. That is pitiful.
If I were Michael, I'd blow the old fart the hell off, and skip the appearance altogether.

4. Well, maybe she can talk about the narcotics
she was denied while she was in jail. Now she's experienced the health care crisis up close and personal. Poor thing. :eyes:

6. Of course he should still go on
Doing so will help him reach a large audiance that might not otherwise hear him, and it will help drive interest in the film. Blowing off King in retaliation now would just be a snit because it would throw away an opportunity for outreach, even if it isn't the most important opportunity under the sun.

Of course he can now use his famous wit to let King have it on his show by digressing into a little discussion about what is and is not news worthy

7. Are we surprised?
Of course not. This is par for the course. An hour dedicated to Paris isn't much different than an hour dedicated to Ann Coulter.

That's why I gave up on CNN, and the like years ago.

8. LKL is notorious for crap like this. EVERY time some known person passes, he always
has a show about them IMMEDIATELY, right? Except in 2004 when Christopher Reeves died - then, Larry, who often had Reeves on as a guest, caved to BushInc who hastily put "Laura Bush on for the entire hour" to fend off the stem-cell research talk and remembrances of Reeves' work, especially with his longtime friend, John Kerry.

Remember when King always had Kitty Kelley on his show UNTIL her 2004 book on the Bushes?

Larry King is a useful tool for the Bushes and the elite powerstructure when they say jump he says "how long?"
