The American Media Has Gone Crazy
I was watching the Today Show and saw them do a story on how Elizabeth Edwards called into the Chris Matthews show. I was shocked at how the Today Show allowed Republicans to try to say they were just giving back they has been given to them. I cannot think of one liberal who has lied as much as Ann Coulter, who has produced as much irrelevant hate speech as Ann Coulter, or who has exaggerated the issue as much of Ann Coulter while trying to play the victim.

I was also shocked at how David Gregory said "If you take all the inflammatory language from Coulter's speech" she makes valid point about how John Edwards is disingenuous about caring about poor people. I guess black people should not be upset about the KKK or hate speech, especially in the South, during the 60's. If you take away the hate speech in the KKK and the racists of the South in the 60's rhetoric they probably have some valid points about being afraid of black people or not liking black people. I am shocked that any journalist would say something like that. That line could be used to make just about anything seem reasonable. For instance, if you take away the fact that John Wayne Gasey shot Ronald Reagan he is probably a really nice guy. Also, if you take away all the mistakes Bush has made he probably is a really great president. Furthermore, if you take away all the lies Bush has told he is probably a really honest guy. If you take away the fact that Bill Clinton was provided oral sex with Monica Lewinsky he probably never had sex with Monica and never cheated on his wife during his time as president.

The reason everyone is upset is the inflammatory hate speech included in Coulter's speech. No one is complaining about Coulter's right to debate whether candidates are being honest about their ideas. It is just stupid to say that a person has a point once you take all the bad away from what they have said. The point is that she should not use hate speech to attack people who disagree with her; she should be asked to give real valid points as to why those people is wrong. Ann Coulter does not do that she just hatefully attacks those people.

1. Those cretins can spin the subject all they want.
Most people, except for those who are borderline anacephalic, know Lizzie was right on this one.

Great publicity for The Edwards Campaign. Great publicity.

2. NBC types believe the way to get ahead is to suck up to GE's right wing management - and they
are more correct than not.

KO is the token.

4. Every time Coulter opens her mouth . . .
500 Republicans decide never to vote that way again and 500 others decide not to vote at all.

Edwards was right -- Coulter drives reasonable people from the process, and while I'm depressed at the notion of people abstaining from voting I'd prefer it be Bush-enablers who give up than anyone else.

5. More and more, they are talking about EACH OTHER as news
while ignoring the real news. News celebrities have become a closed loop, feeding off each other and creating each other's stories.

Never mind the potential additional unwinnable war the GOP wants to start, the real story is that some blow dried airhead changed his part or said something intermperate about somebody else.

6. Every time you start a new thread on Coulter...
...you feed the beast.

Ignore her and she'll eventually shrivel back up and die.
