1. Edwards, because...
(1) He's most likely to push for greater consumer protection laws.

(2) He's also most likely to reconsider his previous support for tighter gun-control laws.

24. You Think They WON'T Make "Terra Alerts" Just Before Election Day No Matter Who We Run?
It's the only card they've got, but they are aces after all and they've got a whole stack of them.

5. Based on what I heard tonight, I'd have to say Hilary impressed me the most.
She is pretty damn good in these debates, very articulate and Presidential.

Close the books on the other contenders. Edwards is the RIGHT man for the job.

10. None Of The Above, Thank You.
But It isn't hard to guess at this point who the nominee will be.

I'll take Pre-Determined Outcomes In A Banana Republic for $500, Alex.

no thanks.

I'll give ALL the candidates a hearing before I decide (though I'm leaning heavily towards Kucinich).

13. I am undecided, but I agree that those are probably the top tier.
Even if I preferred somebody who is not in the top tier I would not pout when they did not get the nomination, but I will vote for the Democratic nominee. We don't all get to have our own personal pure and perfect candidate.

25. I Would Vote for Any of them in the General Election if Nominated…
…since any of them would be vastly preferable to a Repiglickin'.

It is unlikely that enough other people would do so for any of them to win, unfortunately.

We could end up with "President Thompson" or "President Huckabee".

15. GORE-OBAMA 2008
If you ask me - I think GORE-OBAMA would be the strongest ticket in 2008.

If Gore refuses to run I could support either Wes Clark or John Edwards for President.

After 8 years as VP, Obama will be ready to take over the Presidency in 2017.

THE LAST TEMPTATION OF AL GORE
By Eric Pooley
TIME Magazine -- May 17, 2007

Let's say you were dreaming up the perfect stealth candidate for 2008, a Democrat who could step into the presidential race when the party confronts its inevitable doubts about the front runners. You would want a candidate with the grass-roots appeal of Barack Obama -- someone with a message that transcends politics, someone who spoke out loud and clear and early against the war in Iraq. But you would also want a candidate with the operational toughness of Hillary Clinton -- someone with experience and credibility on the world stage.
In other words, you would want someone like Al Gore -- the improbably charismatic, Academy Award-winning, Nobel Prize-nominated environmental prophet with an army of followers and huge reserves of political and cultural capital at his command.

I think that Gore is keeping his options open. Hasn't made up his mind yet what he will do.

The best thing we can do right now is organize our own Live Earth House Parties on July 7th.

By getting behind Al Gore's current work, we can make it more likely that he will decide to run.

Let's all find ways to show our support for Al Gore! :patriot:

Oh, and none of the above. :-)
