Anyone who does not want their advice to the President made public
should not be advising the President?

Executive Privilege is not designed for criminals to cover their trail and that is exactly what the criminal in the white house is doing.

1. Anyone who doesn't want their advice to POTUS made public
should be a Republican. Democrats are made to spill.

2. My advice to the President:
Yo, Dude! Pack everything you can carry and head to Paraguay, NOW. Take Pickles. Leave Barney, he's too nice a pup to be stuck with the likes of you. Take the Glimmer Twins.

The public is welcome to access this advice.

helpfully,
Bright

4. Absolutely right, Boss! Explain to me just what sort of "advice" someone
would be giving the President that they would not want public? Let's hear a scenario where "advice" should remain secret. I have never understood this idea that all advice should be secret. If someone is ashamed of their advice, then don't give it. If their advice is illegal, then suffer the consequences of having given it. Otherwise, if it can't be made public to the People (you know, THE PEOPLE?), then STFU!

5. I had to chuckle when sweet lil christian Monica Goodling
said in so many words that I need immunity because if I tell the truth I'll go to jail.

Very telling that bush administration officials need immunity from CRIMINAL CHARGES before they do what republicans hate to do, swear to tell the truth.

7. Let's consider another branch of government.
The Congress. I'd like to see all correspondence about legislation before it passes made public; all documents that had an effect on legislation, all drafts, a log and summary of every phone call about every piece of legislation whether made to a member of Congress or by a member of Congress. With that information, I'd like to see a log of every donation made by the correspondent/interlocutor/lobbyist/advisor to any political group.

If nothing else, it would be intriguing. But mostly I want to see what's in the sausage we're fed, whether it's dem or repub sausage.

It would have the same effect, I think, of making all the presidential non-classified advice public, and that would probably be a very, very good thing for the US.

6. We already know from Nixon on...
That Republicans can't do the job in a legal way. They always cheat, hinder prosecutions, protect their own nice white boys, pay people off, hire unqualified people based upon religious affiliation, and go to war for no justifiable reason.
