1. Hopefully, the more the "I" word is used, the more familiar it will become,
and the more comfortable people will be with it.

Impeachment is our future. It's America's future. It must happen.

14. Yes. First things first. First - those who have the microphones and
megaphones and platforms need to get comfortable with even the mere use of the word IMPEACHMENT - in all its derivations. It has to come into common usage on the delivery end.

Once that starts to happen, it will, in turn, impact the receiving end. The audience - listeners, readers, viewers, whatever the platform - will then become familiar and comfortable with the word and concept of IMPEACHMENT.

Once THAT starts to happen, the coverage and talk of IMPEACHMENT will only accellerate, along with the corresponding talk of why it's needed or not, and there will be more and more people led to making up their minds that - yeah, actually, that kinda makes sense.

But first you have to break down knee-jerk anti-IMPEACHMENT reactions. You do that by getting people comfortable with the very concept of it - by increasing their familiarity with it. People fear and shy away from that with which they are unfamiliar.

2. He's the top rated liberal talk show host in the nation
I know a lot of DUers don't like to admit it, but what Ed does seems to work.

8. I consider him a moderate
And if he is using the I word and talks about marching in street for Impeachment then that's a huge victory.

9. A lot of people like to stero type people because they don't fit a particular mold
Schultz is definitely not your typical progressive, and definitely trends slightly to the right of middle.

The interesting thing about Ed is, where Dennis Kucinich would have a difficult time persuading a belt way person why voting republican is actually voting against their own interest, Shultz can do it.

It isn't because Dennis isn't right, but because right-wingers cannot identify Dennis, while they can with Schultz

The reverse is true also

It is a shame because there used to be a time when you would not necessarily agree with someone, but you could freely have all the view points debated

This administration learned well from Nixon and the lee atwater school of debate, i.e. karl rove

I think part of the reason they have to try to destroy their opponent is because they know their views are really not mainstream, so they lie and distort

The interesting thing is that hate which destroyed their opponents, will eventually destroy them, which is what we are witnessing right now, and will see it blossom in 2008 when they lose complete control of the executive branch, and Congress

11. Of course, people are people, but on the whole, it is less prevalant here
and definitely not wanting to do someone physicial harm, which is not what you see if you ever wandered over to the FR, or should I say the ann coulter school of philosophy where they would like to physically injure progressives and liberals

Yes it gets emotional over here at times, and there are a very small minority who make hateful statements during that emotion, but it still doesn't get as bad as the administrations followers

still I understand your point

12. I like Ed!
He is further to the right than me but I like his style. Randi is more in line with me politically but she pisses me off a lot with her yelling over callers. Sorry, but I hate it when Sean and Bill do it and I hate it when she does it. One of the many reasons I will never be a repub. I am not a hypocritical asshole.

Well I'm not hypocritical.

I believe what she does but don't like her style and ed when he acts like a blowhard I turn off too.

I like Stephanie the best because she believes like I do and is funny.

17. He said he's going to talk to senators about it
I know alot don't like him here and I am up and down on him too but he does have a big audience and he is right on this...

I also find it kind of interesting that he use to be a real Hillary fan and lately I hear him talk more about Edwards positively.

And he played some of Micheal Moore's stuff yesterday.

19. I like Ed
Been reading comments re: Ed Schultz, and I don't see him as right of center at all. No doubt to the right of many at DU , but to me Eddie's just a common sense moderate progressive, who, while I have disagreements with him on occasion, is quite obviously on our side in general. Glad to see I'm not the only one that can't listen to Randi either, at least in large doses. I agree with her most of the time, but I also find her annoying and rude too often. But ultimately , Randi, Ed, you, me; we're all trying to accomplish the same things. I myself go back and forth on impeachment; while these criminals deserve to be removed from office (at the very LEAST) , arguments that its politically unfeasible at this time make sense too. I'm glad to hear of Ed using the i-word, though, it'd be great to see it get to where a large percentage of the American people see that these bastards GOT TO go...
