6. Several points
Maine is small state and when a soldier dies it fills the news. I don't doubt that Snowe has heard from Mainers loud and clear.

And then there's Collins. Collins is in a difficult position. She is up in 08, and she's consistently stuffed her fate into Joe Lieberman's pocket. Recently Joe hosted a high-dollar fund-raiser for Collins. For Collins to break with Joe will be hard; but for Snowe to break and then cover for her evil sister might help soften Collins' position.

BTW, Tom Allen's going to win.

Action Maine: We need to call our senators and request that they support the Webb-Hagel Amendment. Everyone should call, but Mainiacs, we have a chance to turn a vote.

To specify minimum periods between deployment of units and members of the Armed Forces for Operation Iraqi Freedom and OperationEnduring Freedom. Amendment 2012 to HR 1585

As of today, the people answering the calls have said that they are not hearing from us. I think we can and must change that.
