Giuliani and "Swift Boat stuff"

OK, so Giuliani is now trying to discredit attacks against him by comparing them to the Swift Boat guys. I guess that means that old Rudy acknowledges that the whole Swift Boat thing was crap?

and that Hill artcie is poorly written. Here's a quote from the NYTimes article:

Harold A. Schaitberger, the (IAFF) union’s president, said, “I went through that campaign with John Kerry, and there is a difference between what we are saying and Swift boat ads,” a reference to the campaign advertisements that attacked Mr. Kerry’s Vietnam credentials and were financed by supporters of President Bush. “What we are saying is true.”

5. This RW meme is everywhere, that the firefighters are swiftboating Rudy.

What crap. I think it will be fairly easy to discern what really happened during Rudy's time as mayor as opposed to a WAR 35 years before, when those SBVT came out and told lies for which they had not one shred of evidence to back up. Also, this is criticism of Rudy's job performance as mayor. These idiots like Andrew Sullivan aren't suggesting that Rudy was in COMBAT on 9-11, are they?
