Okay...if Hillary/Edwards were talking about Limiting More Debates then
Edited on Fri Jul-13-07 03:28 PM by KoKo01
why didn't they just talk to each other in private. Maybe a phone call...maybe have their campaign people talk to each other....maybe talk to Howard Dean about their concerns.

Surely there were other ways to reduce the number of debates rather than what the video seems to imply that they were trying to reduce the number of candidates in the debates. Which is it? And, why discuss this at podium rather than at another time?

Personally, "Debate" is the wrong term for what's going on....it's more like "Q&A."

1. Seems kinda fishy, actually
I mean, they had to know that it was a sensitive issue.

3. It's not really a "non-event" since it's everywhere and will be on the news tonight
and Ed Schultz will be asking Elizabeth Edwards about it on Monday. So...all weekend for this to go...and with the video...it's kind of hard not to question what they really meant.

9. I think shady or unethical deals would not be discussed on a stage in public

5. Maybe if you don't like democracy, it's laughable.
Some of us want a choice in the Democratic primaries.

8. I'm still amused by the number of people on DU
who have referenced the primary process and the concept of democracy in the same sentence. The two have never had very much in common.
