If The Congressional Dems Want Impeachment....

Then they'd link the Congressional Republicans to Bush whenever they can, e.g., by calling them "The George Bush Republicans" at every turn, or even the "Bush/Cheney Republicans". Bush and Cheney are so hated by almost everyone at this point that the Republicans would be compelled to distance themselves - and the only clear way to do this is to impeach Bush, or at least defund the War and his other catastrophes.

Impeachment. Then every president after the bushes will know they can get away with breaking the law. The congress will have set a precedent for other presidents to follow.

And most won't do it now, they'll use it as a weapon to unseat many ReThugs from their Senatorial posts.
