Pelosi to Lead March on Senate tonight During the Debate
Americablog just got this and not much information other than what I'm posting. i guess it is stay tuned.

I just heard that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is going to lead a march of House members from the House to the Senate tonight to lend their support to Senate Democrats who are holding an all-night session to challenge the Republicans' ongoing filibuster of efforts to change the course in Iraq.

July 17, 207)—Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan’s “Journey for Humanity” march was in Charlotte, N.C. Tuesday, just a week after she announced in Crawford that she will challenge US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in 2008 unless Pelosi moves to oust the president by July 23.

Sheehan and other anti-war protesters planned one rally at the office of Rep. Mel Watts, D-North Carolina.

He was in Washington, but a member of his staff met with the group, which is calling for the impeachment of both the president and Vice President Dick Cheney.

The protesters are bound for Washington, D.C., where they plan to arrive on Monday, which is the deadline Sheehan set for Pelosi to introduce articles of impeachment.

Pelosi’s spokesman earlier said the Speaker’s focus is on ending the war in Iraq.

Brendan Daly said in an e-mail to The Associated Press that Pelosi believes the best way to support troops in Iraq is to bring them home safely and soon.

7. It's not a 'cheap stunt.' The purpose is to gain corporate media coverage. And the reason for that
is so that hopefully, all of the assholes who just want the "Democrats to DEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW something" will read the articles and finally, PAINFULLY start to figure out that a simple majority doesn't mean they can control the activities of the legislature.

Like some dunces apparently think they can.

11. It's only a principled stand to end the war, after all
Not worth a thing unless they're talking about impeachment, for some anyway.

16. Rucky got to ask,
What do you mean in battered dem syndrome? Anyhoo I think what our decent Speaker is doing is great, it gives up a media advantage and it shows that we have cajones when we want to use them.

ROCK ON NANCY!! and BTW protesting and marching isn't a high school like gesture, when your protesting your out there making your mark and taking a stand, nothing wrong with that.
