Hannity&Colmes show cucumber and condom to misrepresent Obama's views on sex ed

Good grief, what next?!?

HANNITY: Coming up next: Barack Obama clamors for age-appropriate sex education in our schools, but isn't teaching America's kindergartners about the birds and the bees anything but appropriate?

Apparently, Colmes tried to correct the misrepresentations of Obama's views, but they kept showing this video of a woman putting a condom on a cucumber while discussing it.

3. I think he's already been clear, though.

This is deliberate. Of course he didn't say or imply that kindergarteners should be taught how to put condoms on cucumbers, but unless his whole campaign becomes about this issue, rightwingers will continue to pretend he did (Tucker Carlson's been shrieking about it for days) and some people will buy it. Very frustrating.

"Children are abused in the U.S. every day. The 'sex education' I would support for kindergartners would be age appropriate and would have to do with improper touching, and staying safe. I have emphasized 'age appropriateness' many times, but perhaps to Sean Hannity, and the Republicans making all the fuss, they think it would be 'age appropriate' to teach young children about the use of condoms and sexual practice. I do not support that, and would ask them to reconsider teaching, instead, what I consider to be absolutely inappropriate ideas about what to teach children at such an early age."

That should fix them for a while.
