*+*+*+*+*.... House Judiciary IMPEACHMENT HEARING THREAD #1... *+*+*+*+*
yeah, this subject title is a dream, I consider it a loss-leader. I'll do whatever it takes to get people to think, or to dream that it can happen. I'm not the best writer...so here goes nothing.

Believing in this idea is half of the battle, how many times have we seen posts on Impeachment in the last 3 weeks, compared to the last 6 years? The people are out in front on this, as well we should be. We could speculate for weeks why the M$M and The Party Leadership aren't joining us, but that will do us no good. What could possibly come out of that speculation? nothing positive, that's for sure.

Many things have happened in the last 3 weeks; the recent commutation of I. Lewis Libby, for me, was when the camels back broke. 2 weeks ago Bill Moyers had a portion of his show address the idea of Impeachment, Last week Thom Hartman had someone discuss some thoughts about how far this Administration would go to hold on to their power.

We The People of a Nation of Laws must begin to begin to think about what is happening, what has happened, and what might possibly happen. We must think of the actions and inactions an their consequences. The President broke the Law, he violated the US Constitution...and ..wait for it...HE ADMITTED IT!! Can we let this injustice stand? All of the excuses we currently hear, are nonsense!! This is not a "tit-for-tat", an election will not be the answer as long as we're voting into black boxes, and there is more than enough time to accomplish this is we start now.

Since we're not getting any support from today's leaders, at least not any on record, here are some words of wisdom from the past.

“When people ask if the United States can afford to place on trial the president, if the system can stand impeachment, my answer is, "Can we stand anything else?"”
~ George McGovern

“Justice denied anywhere diminishes justice everywhere.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

"The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie -- deliberate, contrived and dishonest -- but the myth -- persistent, persuasive and unrealistic" ~ John F. Kennedy

"Energy and persistence conquer all things." ~ Benjamin Franklin

Don't give up!! Dream the dream!! We are the change, we are in charge!!
:patriot:

1. Impeachment may be sooner rather than later.
The natives are restless and Congress is beginning to take notice. It's up to us to keep a relentless pressure on them until they move it to the head of the table.

6. We really need one honest Repuke to stand up.
And it won't be an act of courage to represent 70% of the electorate.
Just one would take it out of the partisan arena

2. Thanks for the post. The "wait out the clock" Democrats are wrong. Come election
time who would vote for a bunch of wait, wait, waiters.

I won't.

10. Thank you - my thoughts as well - if they won't stand up to this now
then how will they prevent someone else from doing the same thing? It's going to be bad enough to fix it this time around, I'd hate to go through it again

31. Another kick until IMPEACHMENT!

I'm certainly not gonna give up. I don't think we as a country can afford to risk just letting these bastards run out the clock. I think it's too big a risk to take. God only knows what they'll do as long as they think they can hold onto power and get away with it. And what's most terrifying to me is the thought of those who'll think, whenever that blessed day comes that bush is out of power, that the job STILL isn't finished. There are STILL too many of those types out there. Don't forget that for an instant!

:scared:

a lot in Congress agree with you. I don't understand why Congresspeople won't grow spines and do what America wants.

14. If we can't use impeachment for an outright group of thugs, we need to remove it from the
Constitution!

I can't imagine what it could possibly be used for, if not for all the laws broken by this misadministration.

Put up or shut up, Dems!
