Are there campaign contribution limits for unions and corporations like there are for individuals?
How can a corporation or industry donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to a candidate?

Please explain. I know there are PAC's, but don't they have contribution limits too?

1. Very easily because of PAC groups, corperations are allowed
to use employees names as PAC group members and never have a dime come out of the employees pocket. In another words, a corporation has 100 employees, the corporation then can make donations for the employees, up to $10,000 per employee. It's a big loop hole that was put in when the government made PAC laws and limitation laws.

5. PACs can donate $5000 to a candidate
But the key is that there's no limit to how many PACs a business can donate to or how many PACs a candidate can take money from.

8. I was going by a business I worked for back in the late 70's, the company offered to pay
$10,000 in my name to a Planned Action Committee. I forgot that in the late 80's or 90's the congress decreased the donations to $5,000. But reguardless of how businesses get the money to canidates, the canidate knows who is behind the PAC group. It was billed as a way for the average non business man citizen to have a say in how government and canidates worked. But from the very start many saw it as another scam on the american people. It was put into place after Nixon resigned office because of the way Nixon got his donations, directly from big business. The reform years, that brought us PAC's and so many other great neo con ideals.
