Weird, strange and unnecessary quotations from Republican candidates--today's top four
Fourth place--Mittens: "I can tell you I'm not a carbon copy of George Bush..." (Bonus point to Mittens for the timely reference to carbon paper…)

Third place--Sam Brownback: "I think the president has over-relied" on Cheney…” (Bonus point for providing the most obvious observation of this century…)

Second place--Mittens again: "I get tired of people that are holier than thou because they've been pro-life longer than I have." (No bonus points for Mittens this time…sinking a tap-in putt is not particularly satisfying...)

The winner--Mittens, yet again: (Referring to Barack Obama) “He's gone from Jane Fonda to Dr. Strangelove in one week…" (Personal note to Mittens: if I have one dream that combines Slim Pickens and Duran Duran because of this stupid quote, I’m coming after you, dude…)

Double bonus points to Ron Paul, Duncan Hunter and Tommy Thompson for not saying anything worth mentioning. (AP writer’s judgment, not mine.) Triple bonus points to Fred Thompson for skipping the shindig entirely and staying home with his wife. (Really, that was a good choice. Have you seen her? Yow!)

2. When I borrow that phrase--and I will--you will receive a royalty...

4. Please donate it to Planned Parenthood.
It's the least I can do for Mitt.

5.  Mitt needs a slap across the head! A hard one!
I think it was when Ron Paul said we shouldn't have gone into Iraq...we shouldn't have attacked them. Then Mitt scolded him loudly and rudely,
"But they attacked us first! They ATTACKED US FIRST!" Not a soul corrected him...not even the moderator! They are all so used to lying they now actually believe it.

6. Because they are idiots?

I suggest adversion therapy for all of the Repug candidates. Any utterance that correlates Iraq with 9/11 automatically gets a huge dose of voltage to the gonads. Zap!

I own your gonads. And will zap when needed.

7. Tancredo tied something - healthcare maybe? - to immigration
with a leap that was damn near a world record. And McCain said something so incredibly stupid but... thank goodness I have wiped it from my mind. Old age has some advantages.

8. The current Republic crop
of candidates proves that being batshit crazy doesn't keep you from being elected to a high political office. It also shows the intelligence of the ones who voted for them.
