The Clinton Coronation crap is getting assinine
I like Hillary Clinton, I'm not gonna vote for her...but I like her. But this inevitability meme based on meaningless national polls is frankly bullshit. The only thing that matters is Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. PERIOD!! How many times have these candidates gone to all of these other caucus states? Maybe once or twice? If at all? If Hillary loses Iowa to Edwards and Obama comes out of New Hampshire on top...you'll see that 22% lead steadily and quickly decrease...which makes like MSM coronation frankly absurd.

MSNBC is the WORST they keep promoting Clinton every single day and the fact is they are the least watched cable news show.

4. The only people here
who ever refer to her inevitability are those who dislike her.

Her supporters don't claim that the polls today mean she'll win. It just means she's ahead, she's doing well, and it's just one guidepost on the way to the primaries.

6. No, you're wrong...
Plenty of Clinton supporters have said she's the inevitable nominee. Either you haven't read them, or you're lying...

11. I know I certainly hear a lot more about inevitability and coronations from non-Hillary supporters
than I do from actually Hillary supporters. Maybe there are a couple of Hillary supporters who act that way, I don't know. But it seems to me that those who aren't in favor of Hillary are a lot more confident about her chances than the supporters themselves - my uber-conservative grandfather informed me 2 days ago that she would be the next president!

And I don't think that posting polls with Hillary in the lead mean that people are saying that she's definitely going to win, merely that she's winning nationally right now. I think most people are realistic and know that things will change.

21. Plenty? It should be easy for you to find many examples then just from the last few days.
"Either you haven't read them, or you're lying."

Oh someone is lying alright.

Because I find one post in the last week dealing with inevitability and it wasn't started by a Clinton supporter.

5. In other words, you're a hater
She is way ahead because a whole lot of people prefer her over the other candidates. In addition, she's a far better campaigner than the rest. So if they do happen to close the gap, it stands to reason that she will be prepared.

If you had money, which candidate would you bet on?

10. I remember Lieberman having 46% in national polls in 2003.
It would be nice to see Hillary end up tying in a three way for third place. About the only way that could happen though was if her campaign got complacent and stopped trying to engage people before most even started paying attention.

I have a large and healthy ignore list. Well, I can't find a national poll showing that kind of lead, only one from his home state, Connecticut. A look at pollster puts his lead much lower, around 20%. Still, the first place candidate did end up dropping out early. I apologize for being inaccurate, memory is what it is. And considering you two have already made my ignore list, a hearty fuck you in response to anything insulting that may have been posted.

12. No one is trying to coronate Hillary. I'm tired of this DU talking point
No one is trying to coronate Sen. Clinton.

The Democratic Party is in the midst of a vigorous and substantive primary season.

No one is trying to coronate Sen. Clinton.

I wish DUers would get a grip on this.

We Edwards supporters know that there is still a year to go and our boy is going to rise and leave Obama and Hillary behind.

22. Is it that difficult to understand?
She's kicking ass. No denying that.

IMO it should no sweat off anybody's back to acknowledge that.

FTR the coronation part while colorful is a gross exaggeration that reeks of sour grapes. My advice is from my bridge-playing mom who used to say "Chest your cards, girls."

Just remember it ain't over til the fat lady sings.

And feel pissed on by the national media for not jumping bandwagons yet. It's irritating... but I've seen this movie before, you know?
