Kucinich did surprisingly well.
Still watching the last few minutes, but he's come off a lot better and less loony this campaign than he did in 2004.

5. I love that man.
He is the one I want for President. The cynical side of me is resigned to accepting Hillary, as difficult as that has been. I remember in early 2002 I dropped DK an email at night and he responded to it personally and it had to have been about 9pm his time. That's not why I love him, just one of the many reasons. He really did an excellent job tonight IMHO.

it says alot that the candidate most associated with democratic principles has...over a year away from the actual election...already been written off. And..it's accepted as fact.

Last time around, he was a joke. This time, he learned what he did wrong and is going to come on strong.

8. I thought he was amazing too.
My son and I were talking about why he doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell.

I believe that to be true but the reasons why don't seem so apparent anymore.

16. Dennis is a smart courageous guy with the issues on his side
I honor him for standing to make gun regulations much stiffer like the successful regulations other advanced nations with much lower murder rates enjoy. People get so worked up about soldiers dying in Iraq when at least as many young people are dying right here in America by shooting.

23. Issues
On the issues, Kucinich is the strongest candidate. It is too bad that the media has chosen other candidates to spotlight, and therefor duped us into thinking that he is unelectable. IF we gave DK the primary then the media would be forced to cover him. Kucinich could win the election and then our positions would be championed.

His great showing should put him neck to neck with 4th place Richardson or better yet a stride a head.

Go Seabiscuit.

29. Interesting that DK was the only one who could repeatedly say,
"I have sponsored a bill on X issue" - I thought this exhibited leadership, concrete leadership, not just theoretical leadership.

32. Please dear god somebody buy DK a shirt that fits!!!
Image matters. DK looked like a twelve-year old with his cuffs covering up half of his hands, and his collar about two sizes too big.

I'm sure the DK fans will say it doesn't matter. It does. If you want to help DK, send him a shirt that fits, or send him to a tailor.

33. I think his lovely Elizabeth is a calming and grounding influence.
And, I think having a true soulmate, rather than some random hired advisor as a "soundingboard" is so much better for him. He seems very sure of himself and his beliefs, and is coming off, as you said, a lot better.

He did great.

34. No surprise, he is a great candidate. He just can't win.
It's easy to speak the truth when you don't have a chance. Until we have 100% public financing of candidates and they have an equal chance, people like Kucinich will lose.

35. As long as you keep repeating the meme
you'll believe it:

He just can't win.

And if you actually won't vote for someone who "can't win" you're cutting yourself out of many candidates, particularly Dennis! Vote for the person who best represents your views, not the one who best represents the meme.
