2. Tweety's too concerned waxing about Edwards manliness.
The guy has serious issues.

Tweety: "Edwards didn't have a commanding presence. Is it because he's a small man? Seriously, he's physically small."

SHOOT ME NOW

14. Sorry, but that's verbatim.
First thing out of his slimy mouth. I'm sure it'll be added to the long MediaMatters list of Tweety's obsession with the physical characteristics of Democrats (small, not manly) and Republicans (Fred Thompson smells like Old English Leather).

21. Wow. After the embarrassing Thompson man-love episode, you'd think he would
stay off the homoerotic appraisals of the candidates' masculinity.

22. It's pretty much the only schtick he's got.
He keeps dipping into that well again, and again.

Don't forget how much he drools over Rudy "wait till your daddy gets home" Giuliani. :-)

17. I've met Edwards, shaken his hand and talked with him
One thing he's not is physically small. He also comes across as VERY fit and centered.

Chris was just gushing with joy as he said that, gleefully trashing him on a surfacy level.

18. That's what they pay Tweety to do.
Make Dems seem small and girly, and Repubs tall and masculine. It's so nauseating.

I have a feeling Americans are onto them, don't you?

5. It is the Pudit Class determining our Candidates
as usual.

The Debate I watched Edwards did the best ever.

12. Agreed, but not unexpected
I don't think I'd say Edwards did his best, but it was very good. Unfortunately, I don't think any candidate didn't go off topic to make their own points at least once. I thought Biden finished off well with the one word answer, sometimes we make things too complicated.

9. Like it matters?
They've been given their marching orders. They know whose candidacies they're supposed to kill (see Dean's "scream," 2004).

15. Tonight's, evidently. Edwards fails under the bright lights,
In front of a jury, or in front of true believers, he comes across better.

23. You know what really bugs me?
I have lots of good Dem friends. They're voters, they're passionate, they care. But they don't read blogs, they certainly don't DU. They get their marching orders from Tweety and Russert and Maureen Dowd. They really do believe in the "liberal media." I find myself constantly correcting their notions, because their notions are flat-out wrong.

How do we combat this? How do we get more progressives to tune out and turn onto the internet?

16. Who cares one iota what Buchanan and Matthews say and think?
They are two mammoth losers. What, pray tell, have those two ever done for the world and its citizens or the planet and its creatures? They are a waste of air.

Edited on Tue Aug-07-07 08:37 PM by Jimdish25
...because their analysis was written last night. Does anyone think these post-debate wraps have any credibility?

I honestly felt Kucinich won, Obama was next, then Edwards and Biden (though I don't agree with his know-it-all crap much).
