It's the only way to end the war.

We can't end the war by simply opposing the war. How stupid an idea is that? End the war by electing people who oppose it? That's absurd. We need to motivate the people first by implementing a draft.

But of course there won't be support for a draft, so we have to grease the wheel for that. The way to do this is to abolish Social Security. With no Social Security, people will be more agreeable towards being forced to join the military because at least they'll get a military pension.

But of course there won't be support for abolishing Social Security unless there's a compelling reason. So what we do is force a fiscal crisis by draining the government of revenue. We accomplish this by abolishing taxes for income above $100K. Everybody likes tax cuts.

8. For fuck's sake. This isn't serious.
It's just taking the bullshit Rube Goldberg School of Policymaking line of reasoning that draft supporters follow to its logical conclusion.

4. Instead, let's go back to the 1950s
Absolute paradise for the GOP, their dream era! And what did we have then? A top marginal income tax rate of 91% or more. Adjust the brackets for inflation, and even add a bit, and let's call it $5 million.

Let's tax net income over $5 million a year at 91%. Good enough for Eisenhower; should be good enough for W!
