It really bothers me that a man who did the things he did is a hero to many RW people in this country.

Don't they have G. Gordon Liddy, too? It must really make them angry that it's their people who actually got caught breaking the law - rather than people like Dean abd Kerry. It still offends me that North, who was indicted for lying under oath before Kerry's committee was allowed to cover him without having to disclose that every time. He only got off because of a technicality and because the committee Kerry was not on gave out immunity too freely.

Ah, gotta love that "democracy" we live in. If that happened in a country that Washington doesn't like, we'd be hearing about "totalitarianism." But when an American does it, well, he is just a "freedom loving patriot" who becomes a right-wing celebrity.
