LA-Gov: Jindal (R) accused of being anti-Protestant
Apologies if this has already been posted, but this was the first I've heard of it.

It will be interesting to see if these comments will hurt Jindal with the voters in the more Protestant (and more Republican) parts of the state he is probably taking for granted. It's good to see Jindal actually getting some negative attention; from what I've seen of him, he has always rubbed me as one of the most insincere, sanctimonious politicians I've ever seen- and think of all the competition he has for that honor within his own party!

>>>>Most Americans believe we should respect one another's religion. But not Bobby Jindal," the ad says, according to a script from the Democratic Party. "He wrote articles that insulted thousands of Louisiana Protestants. He has referred to Protestant religions as scandalous, depraved, selfish and heretical."

The ad references articles Jindal wrote for New Oxford Review, a Roman Catholic magazine, during the 1990s before he was a congressman. Vezinot, the Democratic Party spokeswoman, said the religion ad is running in the Alexandria, Monroe and Shreveport TV markets — areas of the state that are more heavily Protestant than south Louisiana.>>>>>

i have actually heard jindal referred to as a "hindu" and i suppose these statements were his way of putting his catholic faith out in front

i wish we could refrain from all the stupid-ass name-calling in this state but no one asked me for my opinion

2. lil shit
is also getting beat up by Democrat Walter Boasso who is running ads tying jindal to bush, however the lil shit is an overwhelming favorite; I cannot figure out why. Blanco his lil sanctimonious career politicians ass the last governors election and she fucked him again in this one. Lil shit thought all he had to do was run against blanco and Katrina but blanco did the honorable thing and withdrew from the race forcing lit shit to run for something. Dems have been hammering him hard about not supporting troops and being (in my words) just a little slut for george bush.

3. Kos had PDF images of the actual article but was forced to pull them
It's worth noting that Louisiana Dems are pulling this material from the New Oxford Review, which used the copyright provision of the DCMA to force Daily Kos to pull PDF scans of Jindal's articles from this site. That fundamentalist Catholic publication is doing everything they can to protect Jindal by removing copies of it from the web (almost nobody will pay for those articles). So Jindal can deny he wrote those things, while making it hard for people to verify for themselves.

Flippin' fascists! :grr: Not to worry, though, one of the most stalwart NOLA bloggers has tracked it down here:

http://web.archive.org/web/20061213075345/http://images.dailykos.com/images/jindal.pdf

In the article, recent convert Jindal describes an experience closely resembling an exorcism, strating on page 8 of the PDF. Wonder what the La. Dem party could make of that? Or of the fact that the entire article revolves around Jindal's relationship with "Susan"??

And finally, Li'l Shit was a Rhodes Scholar?! I thought you had to have some athletic talent to win a Rhodes. What could his event possibly have been? The flip-flop??
