1. I guess VAers forgot Rudy saying that VA has an "obligation" to take NYC's trash....
that was a Big Fight back in '98-2000. Virginians were getting tired of all that trash from NYC getting trucked into VA. If the Dems bring that one up, Guiliani is toast in VA.

Those polls are quite old I believe as it shows Hillary losing Kentucky and Virginia...the polls just released from the same outfit shows her winning Kentucky and Virginia

7. Thanks. It will be interesting to see how Edwards and Obama do in this poll
Edited on Tue Aug-21-07 07:14 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
The last SurveyUSA poll had Obama losing even Massachusetts to Ghouliani... I suspect Edwards will win by larger margins than HRC while Obama will be the weakest candidate in this poll.

This will be interesting when all numbers are out.

26. I loved this quote from your link at Kos....
"These poll numbers from SuveyUSA were received via email. For whatever reason, they're not online yet. But check out how Hillary -- perhaps our weakest nominee for red state matchups -- does in some of those states"

So they got an email. Didn't say who the email was from. And they don't know why SurveyUSA has not posted it on their page.

So we have "an email". It could be an accurate email. Or it could have come from the same guy who emailed that Godzilla had just landed on the moon and kidnapped three hostages.

But the important thing to remember is that this is a POLL....real or imaginary, doesn't matter.....and we cherry pick only Hillary's results, and only the ones that make her look good.

I guess I should be used to this cherry picking of polls. But it is really, really boring. And, although Hillary Hangers-On are not the only ones to publish polls, it does seem to be an obsession with some of them.

So, in the future, could you at least wait until a poll is actually published before you report it?

Sorta reminds me of the White House telling us of the reports they had of yellow cake uranium......

33. Please!
Come on -- yellow cake is comparable?

I agree that we should be looking at accurate data always -- but come on now.
Those kinds of comparisons get us in trouble and really are absurd.

35. You were the one dishing it out, I believe....
I pointed it out to you. And you called me yet another name, "earthy-poo".

I get tired of this. I think calling other candidates "naive" and calling names for the rest seems to be what the Hillary campaign is all about.

Prove me wrong. Or, go ahead....call me another name.

I don't even know why I am even responding to you. I haven't decided on a candidate yet, but you are certainly not helping my views towards your candidate.

Has recently polled ahead of all Republicans in Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Virginia...

:toast: Hey, when the facts change I change with them. My assumptions were wrong.

How does Obama do in those states? It seems he is actually the weakest candidate we have, considering the GE is decided in the electoral college and he seems to flip the least states, and apparently no red states (states like Ohio are purple states).

Of course these are no guarantee of anything, but t hey do show the notion that she will not be able to compete in the South is probably wrong...

14. Wonder how she would do against Ron Paul...
Clinton voted for the war, Ron Paul didn't. Kinda throws around the whole expectation on where the parties will stand on in regards to the most important topic - Iraq. Better reason to have Obama be the candidate.

22. It's interesting how the polls start out so close even in the red states
No Democrat is going to win Alabama. That said, what seems to happen is that as the election gets closer somehow the GOP manages to bring their voters home. Figuring out how to counter that effect is the key to winning in a landslide.

25. Great news ...
This is just great news.

The Republicans are dependent on the South.
The Democratic North isn't in danger of being turned Republican -- and these polls indicate that the South may be tired of Republican rule.

I think Dean's campaign of every state is evident here. :)

30. she won't win
in KY (the others don't stand much of a chance either). No flames, I'm just being realistic. There is more kool-aid here than anywhere else, except maybe Utah. These polls are before the media blitz on abortion & guns. KY voters are single issue voters (they will vote against their own best interests) for the most part.
