1. I'm surprised at the 31% unfavorable for Edwards in South Carolina
I thought he'd be better thought of there. Anyone know?

2. Comparing John with Jesse Helms
saying John can't be black or a woman, the usual house and hair stuff. It can add up.

11. It's too bad our elections tend to turn on that kind of trivia. Edwards deserves
better.

3. Rsmussen: Hillary does a better job of unitiing Republicans than any other candidate
Among unaffiliated voters, 44% say they will definitely vote against Clinton and 41% say the same about Romney.

Clinton does a better job of uniting Republicans than any other candidate. Seventy-six percent (76%) of the GOP faithful say they’ll definitely vote against the former First Lady. Only 61% of Republicans say the same about Obama and Edwards.

8. Fortunately for Edwards three states vote before SC
Edited on Wed Aug-22-07 10:16 AM by draft_mario_cuomo
And the first two states are Iowa and Nevada. Good finishes for him in those states would allow him to do well in SC. ;) Similarly, poor finishes in the early states would kill a candidate heading into SC.

7. Those low unfavorable ratings prove Clinton doesn't stand for anything.
Otherwise, she would have offended a greater number of Americans. We need a candidate with high negatives if we're to have any hope of winning.

14. That's what people hate about her
Edited on Wed Aug-22-07 04:50 PM by sandnsea
That she doesn't stand for anything. The only people who like her are the ones who want to win at all costs and have bought into the notion that she's a fighter, even though they can't articulate exactly what it is that's she going to fight for because she won't say -- because she doesn't stand for anything.
