AIPAC folks , AIPAC
Yesterday NPR had a nice "prepping the battlefield" piece

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=1638673&mesg_id=1638673

and today the Washington Post followed it up with a "what the cool crowd says" piece

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=1640001&mesg_id=1640001

This is classic psy-ops

and how could it be? How could the people inside DC ever have come to this conclusion? (let's keep in mind that don't pay people to cover their asses in spin for nothing) What on earth could they be thinking?

AIPAC

Sorry but your government doesn't give a rip about you any more.

24. I agree but I think that some of the questions posed are too politically "hot"...
...to receive and answer publicly or legislatively. Of course, Israel isn't the only one manipulating policy- there are a whole host a countries and corporations who are all gaming the system (at best) or (at worst) committing acts like those Franklin et al. are accused of. Realistically, to begin to attempt to rectify things would take a sea-change in our congress and in the White House.

The whole system promotes some level of corruption. As Americans we are kept generally in the dark and are trained to be un-curious about the machinery of our government. I don't have high hopes that it will change but I do believe that the first step twoard approaching issues like this is simply awareness.

I welcome the level of awareness that this thread has brought the issue to but, frankly, I don't have high hopes that this thread will survive past a certain number of recommendations.

25. Yet from the
resources provided by SLAD, we see that there are people on DU who are aware of the case, and keeping track of it. The activities of Franklin and the AIPAC intelligence group were aimed at creating more tensions in the Middle East, and is a significant part of the neoconservative agenda for starting a conflict with Iran. I do not think that a serious case can be made that other countries or corporations are doing anything on that level.

26. You're absolutely correct. I just wanted to emphasize that this...
...issue may be the tip of an iceberg when it comes to U.S. Israel relations but that there are many icebergs floating out there.

I agree that this reaches far beyond the typical level of interference in the U.S. government by agents of another government.

36. Very obsessed about that, aren't you?
Ever wondered why AIPAC supposedly is running our country?

After all there are, what, six million Jews here? And another six million in Israel?

What is it about the administration and Congress that they follow blindly that Pied Piper?

You must be very obsessed to join DU for the sole purpose of showing how evil AIPAC is.

Is the story that AIPAC (and Israel) are behind 9/11 included in your links?

29. AIPAC is such an invasive influence coupled with the MIComplex trying to
wrest control of the internet back from public/private sectors--what happens when Joe WantsToKnow no longer has a connect to anything resembling journalism--divide and silence. AIPAC is a fucking cancer on our body politic. It is all very disturbing that so little is said about the corrupting influence of Outsiders.

30. Think of it as the right-wing taking control of Israeli policies...
just as the right-wing neoconservatives have in the U.S. Being "anti-Israeli" on this issue makes as much sense as being anti-American just because of the Bush Admin, although there is plenty of anti-American sentiment due to Bush.

Do you have any evidence that you would like to present to back up your assertion that it is AIPAC behind this, rather the Council for Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, or the Bilderburgers?
