2. thanks for lowering the bar here at DU, ww
I have spent a good deal of time here at DU defending the slime spewed against Hillary only to find you behaving in the same way perpetuating stupid, ugly politics.

3. why else would Obama think it is overblown?
Edited on Sat Aug-25-07 05:22 PM by wyldwolf
Clinton is running a first class campaign and she was the target of a 15 year smear campaign. Now, here comes Obama. "Clinton is obesessed with the righwing attack machine."

Where was Obama in the 80s when Dukakis was taken down?
The 90s when they tried to take down Clinton?
The early 2000s when the practically took Gore down?
How about Cleland?

Oh... and John Kerry?

4. I just hope to God
that Obama -- should he be the nominee -- is ready for what the repugs will do to him. Clinton knows what's around the corner and there's nothing naive about that woman. Obama? I don't know. I think it's one thing to WANT to run a "positive campaign", but another thing to be in a bare-knuckled brawl with a slime machine that is in no way, shape or form polite about their intentions to literally destroy you.

And, let's face it, the American People are much more eager to listen to scandalous -- though untrue -- gossip (and believe it!) than they are nice sounding platitude about us all getting along.

5. Something tells me that Barack Obama, a brilliant, handsome albeit a
black man is no stranger to what will be coming towards him. He doesn't whine or moan about it but if you notice, he can snap back fast and furious when necessary. Neither he nor Michelle suffer fools. I think he will be fine.

6. Good links. A reminder of what we will face in '08.
And who do you think will be able to take them on?
I'm thinking the toughest politician in the fight - Hillary Clinton.

12. Your diatribes have sunk below the point at which reasonable rebuttals are even necessary.
At this point, it's either scoff at, laugh off, or ignore.

14. With all due respect, you asked "why" and I gave you an explanation.
I stand by it.

I'm sorry if you are offended and take it as a personal attack. That was not my intent.

9. not sure why you're kicking this.
Some want to unite with these shit-for-brains, some want to co-opt their ideas.
