Can FL democratic leaders just appoint their delegates to whoever wins the Jan 29th beauty contest?
My idea would be for Florida voters to vote as scheduled on January 29th. Then a few weeks later the Florida democratic party holds a small caucus where just its board of directors or florida elected officials can vote and they vow to vote for the winner of the January 29th beauty contest.
That way, officially the caucus was held after Feb. 5th but the result is in effect the same, the winner of the January 29th primary gets the delegates.
