For all of the "do nothing D congress" posts that have come
along since we've taken over power in the House and Senate...like I said, Pelosi is one smart piece of work. Look at what has happened since these investigations have entered the animated stage; Cabinet members, aides all kinds of people are bailing before having to go through hearings and investigations. She has outflanked this administration and left bush w/nothing to fall back on. He knows his legacy will be one of sheer ineptitude and be seen as the worst administration tis nation has ever seen. He has been neutered, and soon he will sit out the rest of his term in the basement of the WH.

Frontal attacks most likely would have failed, but by taking on the weak flanks, Congress has made this administration into a shambles. bush will not be allowed to do anything anymore, except try to salvage what he might have left, and that isn't much. He didn't need to be impeached, then tried in a Senate that didn't have the #'s to convict...he has lost virtually all of his credibility, (like he ever had any), his "Texas Style" Cabinet has burned the outhouse to the ground while they were still in it, and even some major GOP players are turning on him...but most of all, the GOP future looks very dim. The D's could put Howdy Doody up for election, and he'd beat just about anyone the GOP has out there.

The GOP "message", fear and terror, are dead, killed by an idiot that thought he could do a job he was never qualified for in the first place. His entire presidency was built on 9-11, and once people realized the threat is minimal, they woke up to find their own Rights in jeopardy, and no one is very pleased about that!

There are times when you have to trust those in power, not often, but many of them really do know what they are doing occasionally.

1. I agree with you that he will appear to be marginalized...
But, he doesn't really care about that...

This meglomaniac thinks he is on a mission from god and that history will vindicate his actions...

There is no reasoning with someone like that...

4. No one has to reason w/this goomer...in fact, he has even lost
credibility in his own Cabinet. He is not a king, and he can be taken down from within, especially if he is seen to be going over the edge. No one is there to prop him up anymore, he can't stand on his own virtue, he has none.

He has been effectively neutered.

2. If they stop him from attacking Iran then I will cheer
Until then I am cautiously optimistic.

5. At this point, he can't attack Iran...we simply don't have the
military to do that. With his #'s in the tank because of the failure of Iraq, even if he wanted to, he could not do it. There is a possibility, albeit slim, that he would order a nuclear strike...but there are blocks in that raod as well. He'd have to get the JC's to go along w/that, and Generals/Admirals are generally not known for being insane.

3. I thought you were right, now I think you are right, and I hope you are right!
The lady is pretty damn smart. I agree I think she is so one up on W.

And she has just done a head fake on him. More is to come.

I hope.

6. There is more to come....the foundation is faltering,
the figurehead has yet to fall. bush/cheney will leave in disgrace. There is just over a year to go, and w/o his "Texas Cabinet", he has nothing to deflect the criticism thrown at him. WE all know this whole fiasco is his fault, now that creepy 20 something % are about to learn it as well. They won't like it, but the truth will crush them.

And I truly believe that the GOP is in for a very rude awakening. Neo-cons destroyed the GOP, and they did it for a generation.
