Can't find the ad, but the same concept is on the ACLU Web site.

Pelosi reps San Francisco, of course.

1. I doubt she saw it, read it, or understood her part in it.
she is too busy appeasing the president.

2. Would be nice if they would attack the Republican congress,
that actually perpetuated the rapeing of the U.S. constitution, but thats just me.

4. I wasn't aware that the Republicans still have a majority in Congress...

Gods forbid that a renowned, nonpartisan, civil rights organization actually condemns those who are responsible for demolishing those same rights. I guess that Democrats aren't responsible for their own actions. :eyes:

5. Depends on your POV...
The Dem majority depends entirely on the Blue Dogs and UnHoly Joe (and the Red State Senate Dems).

6. Control of the Senate remains with the Dems regardless of Holy Joe...
at least until the next Congress, and they will most likely have a larger majority then and Holy Joe would be rendered irrelevant. Regardless of that, the fact is that the leadership in Congress, in both the House and Senate has enormous clout as to what bills are presented on the floor, etc. To put it simply, they dropped the ball, and should be held accountable. The fact that so many do NOT want them to be held accountable tells me that its just "politics as usual" all over again.

10. In the house, the speaker has complete control of what gets to the floor.
If the speakers says no vote, then there is no vote.

7. I suspect a big reason some of these pathetic party loyalists
don't like Bush is because he ISN'T a Democrat. I can just picture them sticking up for him since 2001 with his war and all if he were. The only thing that seems to matter to these clowns is whether there is a "D" next to the politicians name or not.

8. To them its a game, like a sporting event...
The difference is that, instead of bookies and athletes, you have lobbyists and politicians. Have to get into that "team spirit" after all!

The other difference is that the worst results of the games in sports are injured athletes, whereas in politics the fans are the ones who get hurt.
