1. And, I think what if he had resigned and let Al Gore assume the presidency...

2. It would've set an absolutely horrible precedent
to resign over fake indignation over a blow job.

3. Why would President Clinton resign......
he was a good president. Al Gore should have won the presidency on his own.

7. Why? To put his party and his country before himself.

8. He was good for his party and his country...
so why would he resign. Al Gore should have been president but for the Supreme Court. You can have your opinion but to be a Democrat and have wanted Bill Clinton to resign doesn't make sense.

4. Acutally, I rememeber reading that
that's why some Republicans chose not to convict Clinton and remove him from office, during his Senate trial.

Apparently, there were some Republicans who felt that if Clinton had been convicted and removed from Office, leaving Gore to serve out the rest of Clinton's term.....that would have left Gore in an even stronger position to run in his own right in 2000. They felt Gore would have been able to show how strong he was in uniting the country afterwards...and some Republicans did not want that.

I think it was either in Time or Newsweek magazine or some publication that I had read that.

13. Oprah’s Bill Clinton interview is her only new show this week
Bill Clinton’s book is just coming out and Oprah had to get the first interview

She is a friend of the Clintons. I remember Hillary presented Oprah an award on the Emmy's in 05, and on stage, Oprah told Hillary to run for president. Big applause

Oprah’s mentor, Maya Angelou is supporting Hillary. Her buddy Magic Johnson is throwing a fund raiser for Hillary, and Oprah’s life long friend Quincy Jones supports Hillary

Oprah is throwing a fund raiser for Obama, So what. She's not a five year old who's best friend will cry cause she has a different play date.

11. How fitting after Labor Day
the Democrat that did the most damage to labor in this country by his arm-twisting for NAFTA and WTO.

12. Clinton was the "real american president,"
and I would debate that with anyone.

The Clintons bet on America, the Bushes bet against us.
The Clintons bet on peace, the Bushes own oil, which goes up in war.
The Clintons brokered peace agreements, the Bushes own gold, which goes up in war.
Clinton told the world, "Bet on America," when he paid down Reagan's debt.
Bush borrows from others, because nobody wants to bet on a loser.
Clinton prevented terrorist attacks, Bush creates terror every day he's in office.
With Clinton, we had peace, a surplus, a Constitution and the world's respect.
What do we have now, besides 3739 dead soldiers?
