Why the heck don't the Dems. jump on the admin. for showing bin Laden's tapes?

Why the heck don't the Dems. jump on the admin. for showing bin Laden's tapes?
They call it propaganda, say he makes these tapes in order to terrorize us, yet then they allowed them to be played in the MSM nonstop? I wish someone, like Obama, :D , would point this out and say if HE were president he'd have the tape analyzed, get whatever clues can be found from it, and have the CIA work on finding him rather than giving him the exposure/attention he wants. (I know the admin. uses these tapes to try to scare us into supporting Repubs., but someone should point out what they're doing by showing it)!

bin laden is a gop spokesman and the tape is a republican campaign ad.

6. Bin Laden crawls out of his cave just in time to support Bush's surge and try to keep us in Iraq.
Our government cannot admit that our endless occupation of Iraq is what is fueling and swelling the ranks of al Qaeda.

That's what bin Laden wants as well as the GOP. But I don't think it will necessarily help the Repubs. this time. Espcially if the Dems. would point these things out, and how he's still free.

5. What media is showing the tape? All I have seen is a still photo of a man
with a dark beard. The news readers are reading bits from a transcript. I would like to see the tape in it's entirety with an authentic translation and judge for myself.

It highlights the fact that 6 years after 9/11, he's still running around free.

I'd pound that point home over and over.

I couldn't agree more. Thousands of soldiers being sent away to fight in a war that has nothing to do with Bin Laden or WMD's while he's just prancing around doing whatever the hell he wants, including getting his political views pasted all over TV and the internet. Geez, it's just fucking astounding.

Tread lightly- you will be accused of being everything from a Republican to a Nader supporter for even pointing it out.

I've been asking a lot of questions just like yours for almost 8 years now- at 1st I thought that caving into the GOP/media was some bizzare, misguided long term strategy- but now I just think most of the DEMS who call the shots at the top are either idiots, cowards or they secretly(?) agree with the conservatives-or all 3.

In the case of the typical DLCer-all 3.

23. I think it's just the opposite...
Like when Hillary said if there's another attack the Repubs. will have the advantage. I'm not saying that. I'M saying the Dems. should (and could) make it a positive, a strength and point out why it's wrong to show the tape and that he's still free.

18. The tally of DEM "yes" votes to invade Iraq seems to support that theory.
As well as the continuing non-acts concerning the occupation.

I would love for DEMS to make liars out of the both of us concerning this.

22. I'd have them study the tape themselves,
get whatever intel. they could from it, and act on that. They could report anything important like if an attack was threatened in a certain place, but otherwise they're just using it to keep us scared, and hoping we'll support the Repubs. to "save us" (even though I don't think it would work anymore).
