How about the rapid-blinking at the very beginning in _georgie's little spiel about how he'll "uphold the law", et cetera?

I tried to count the blinks to compare with the number of seconds he was speaking, but couldn't keep up.

And people believed the son-of-a-bitch... and some still do.

4. An interesting page.

I decided it was worth the effort, so I timed and counted.

In the 12 seconds from the time he says, "I'd like to conclude with this promise," raises his right hand and commences his pledge to the American people, ending in "so help me God," he blinks 26-28 times, more than twice per second.

In the 4 seconds prior to that, when he made his little joke about opponents only voting once, he only blinked once.

Telling, indeed.

5. It was fantastic.

I had trouble watching it to the end, though. With one recent reTHUG scandal after another, though, I guess I've gotten too cynical to want to sit through the details again. I just want them all gone.

The Bush lying/blinking thing, though, really set the tone right from the beginning.
