I was afraid something was going wrong with my TV - like maybe it had had enough of Bush and was going to explode.

6. its from a bad mic cable....
one of the shielding of the mic cables must have worn through....that creates that humm you hear.

At least they didn't give him Petreuss mic from day 1. lol.
