McCain's Michigan Chair Quits

By KATHY BARKS HOFFMAN, Associated Press Writer

Monday, September 17, 2007

(09-17) 17:25 PDT Lansing, Mich. (AP) --

Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox plans to resign as
John McCain's state campaign chairman, according to two
top Republicans who asked not to be identified because
Cox has not yet spoken with McCain in person.

State Republicans are set to choose their presidential
favorites in a Jan. 15 primary. The two Republicans made
the comments about Cox on Monday.

The national McCain campaign has been fighting concerns
that it doesn't have the money or the staff to keep the
senator in the top tier of GOP candidates.

The defection comes on the eve of a high-profile
gathering of about 1,500 Republican activists on
Mackinac Island Friday and Saturday who will hear from
the presidential candidates.

1. He must've seen McCain on Meet the Press yesterday
After that sorry performance, Mr. Cox probably threw up in his mouth a little, and started composing his resignation letter.

3. Mike Cox
Quite the neocon tool. Pray for an early November gale to blow through the straights.

5. McCrutch....
....it seems your star is falling....to bad, but war-mongers are a dime-a-dozen in Washington; you need to stand-out more in that deceitful crowd....

....I have a suggestion, next time you're asked about Iraq, tell them you have a 'Secret Plan' to immediately end the Iraq war; a plan so secret that it can only be revealed upon your nomination and election....hire ten, twenty, thirty retired Generals and have them read you 'Secrest Plan' and verify it's secret-greatness to the public....

....you'll get attention, dollars and votes from out-of-the-loop war-mongers wanting their turn at the trough (they'll know you're still a war-monger at heart)....and peace activists will think you've come to your senses, changed your war-mongering ways and will cross-over by the millions to vote for a Republican 'liberal'....

....and if elected president, just 'change your mind' and send hundreds of thousands of additional drafted troops to the Middle East and escalate or start your own regional war so you and YOUR new buddies can profit....see, nothing to it....
