Clark Supporters: Vote for Clark anyway!
I have decided that I am going to vote for Clark anyway. I don't really care what others say. I want Clark to be President and I have a right to vote for who I want to vote for. I know it will mean that I will not to vote for my second choice, Kerry, but WTF, I don't have anything to lose.

My state has a Caucus. So I plan on bringing other Clark backers with me to the Caucus. I will get elected as a delegate, and I will go the state convention and do everything I can to get as many delegates as I can for Clark.

I think it is bull that Graham, Gephardt, Lieberman and Clark are out of the race already and I am still fight for my Man Wesley Clark and I hope Clark Supporters do the same.

1. You have the right to do so.

However, I can't help but think that such a course of action is quixotic and ineffectual.

I could understand if Clark was trailing way behind and you voted for him, but he is no longer in the primary system at all. By that reasoning, I may conclude that it wouldn't be a waste to vote for myself as a presidential primary candidate because I believe in my ability to do a good job and my qualities as a person.

Again, I'm not trying to chastize you, but do think you should reconsider a bit...

3. Clark got more than a few thousand votes tonight.
It may be quixotic and ineffectual in one sense but in another sense it tells the Democratic Party establishment that we are still here and we are not going to simply fold into some other campaign.

If Clark has ten thousand supporters in each state that's a half million supporters. Of course he doesn't, but in some states, like Florida and New York and California he has a lot more than that number.

If it is at all possible Clark supporters should vote for their guy in the primaries. So far its still possible in Florida so guess who me and my wife are voting for?

I supported Clark because I believed he was the only candidate in the race with a legitimate chance to beat George Bush in November.

Nothing has changed, as far as I can see.

15. Clark earned my vote. I earned the right to vote for him.
I spent hours in the cold collecting signatures to put Clark on the ballot (5 times over). A few cowpokes in Iowa + the media will not rob me of my primary vote. Over 12,000 people voted for Clark in WI..
Some of us still think our vote means someting.

2. You go!
I'm voting for Wes in my primary as long as the race has not tightened significantly. I'll sacrifice it to Kerry if it will mean something, though.

7. Agreed. Exactly. Clark, unless close.
My primary vote will go to Clark unless Kerry needs it. I'm of the same opinion as Wes, I believe, in that the Democratic nominee won't be able to get to the issues of health care and the economy unless he can squash Rove's fear-mongering over national security.

4. I'm voting for Clark in my primary unless it's too close.
But it's not until April 27th. Unless it's a real dog fight at the end between Kerry and Edwards, the General gets my vote.

by the time the primary arrives here (CA) it will be decided most likely. I doesn't hurt! I gave over $200 to him...I'm gonna cast my vote for him!

8. I doubt I'll matter since I vote a week after Super T. But I'll vote for
Edwards if he's still in the race. i don't know if I support Edwards and I don't have a big problem with Kerry. But I want this to stay up in the air until the Illinois primary. I think Kerry needs to not get smug any sooner than necessary

13. "9.11 justified Iraq" doesn't bother you then?
Authoring Patriot Act? TIPS?
I don't know, but the media is pushing him now, and Kerry is looking better every day - at least he was sorry about his IWR vote - Edwards is still proud!

17. Bother me? Sure, it bothers me. It's not the only voting issue I have
Like I said before, I don't know if I support Edwards and I don't have a big problem with Kerry. But if Edwards drops out, then to a certain extent the debate dies off. I think we still need to keep on having the discussions that this race is bringing out.

If Edwards goes away, Kerry will get fat and smug (like he did before Dean shook things up). Kerry needs to stay hungry. We need to keep Kerry hungry for our support. The debates that the nomination process prods along need to stay in the national spotlight. One reason the country is waking up is because so many different Democrats, Edwards included, are running around and market-testing different arguments for why the current administration is so full of fuck ups. That process needs to keep going for a while. The second we let up, the preseident's numbers will start to climb again.

There's something else I like about Edwards--he consistantly exceeds expectations. In political parlance, he's a "strong closer." The more he talks, the more people he wins over to his side. That's one hell of an asset to have among the Democratic voices. He's also right in many of hte economic justice and racial equality issues that he raises (which Kerry does not raise).

I'm trying to look at the big picture.

9. What state are you in?
I'm in Colorado, and we have a caucus. I would like to vote for Clark, but I don't see how it is feasable under the caucus system. Please let me know more details. Thanks:-)

10. I voted for Clark yesterday
and it felt GOOD!

Hey, over 12,000 people can't be wrong! :)

I do think that this sort of expression of support for him will encourage him to stay active in the Democratic Party - he can wait a few more years before playing golf!

11. I can't wait to vote for Clark
I will be voting for Clark in the Texas primary in March. I became aware of Clark last June when he was on crossfire. I looked into the other candidates and none of them had the vision, passion, courage, intelligence and patriotism that Clark articulated. I also think it was inappropriate for the DNC and the media to assert for weeks that it was a two man race between Kerry/Edwards before a single vote was cast on Feb.3 I am proud to be a Clark Democrat.

I don't want to think about November just yet, but you will too when it approaces.
From Clark;s farewell address:

And why I will support our Party's nominee, to continue this campaign until we take back the White House next November. This soldier stands ready for duty. And I need every single one of you to join me in this battle. Because this was never about my future. It was a call to duty, not of ambition. Of service to country, not to self. It was always about America's future. And that future will be decided in this election. It's not going to be easy. So I've got one bit of advice for our nominee: give 'em hell and never retreat.
And as a general who spent thirty-four years fighting for my country, here is my pledge: I will do everything I can - everything - to make sure George W. Bush doesn't play politics with national security.

We will still be led by Clark in great things. One of them will be getting rid of Bushco.See my blog on the NY for Clark feelings on this:

19. Don't do it, please!
I'd bet that at the top of the list of people who don't want this to happen is the name Wes Clark.
