I am not a huge fan of HRC, but calling a Dem candidate that was sounding like swiftboating/smear tactics to me. All he had to state was 'I do not like her because..." and I wouldn't have had a problem with it.

I hate that, even of candidates I don't favor. :)

Sorry Ras, I don't usually go off on other posters like that. Willful ignorance is a pet peeve.

it's the tenor of the thread that seems to determine the locking. They were locking the Edwards haircut threads not long ago and before that they were locking the Al Gore house threads and these and all the Hillary threads have in common, unfair criticisms, name calling and name calling of supporters of those people. No wonder these things get locked. If people could make their comments fairly and with restraint and accuracy and not judge the candidate's supporters, this wouldn't happen.

I understand why "Hitlary" comments are deleted because they are inherently disrespectful of a Democratic leader. That makes sense. You can criticize Hillary without using such pejoratives.

But the thread on Pelosi wasn't proposing replacing her with a Repub, it was just saying maybe there
is better leadership around, at least the posts I read there and contributed there. It didn't make insulting use of her name. Just asked if she should be replaced, albeit assertively.

I'm not complaining, I guess I just don't understand locking a thread criticizing a party leader. If some of the comments are over the top, delete those comments. However I'm sure the mods work hard and are volunteers and have to take a lot of criticism so the last thing I want to do is bash them. Just understand why the thread was locked.

It's a little more apparent why they locked that thread.

Some individual posts in that thread were over the top and actually seemed to break the rules from what I could tell.
