Now its has been said over and over that Hillary will elicit such strong feelings in the GOP that their turnout will increase in what should be a down year given the scandals and general apathy towards the party and candidates.
Those nancy boys over at the RNC are in a panic because of Hlllary's latest fundraising haul.
"So the Republican National Committee was quick to react on Tuesday to news that Clinton led her 2008 presidential rivals with a $27 million fundraising haul in the last three months.rtrltwo517895.jpg “The Hillary Clinton fundraising juggernaut keeps on rolling,” Mike Duncan, chairman of the RNC, said in a fundraising appeal sent to supporters late on Tuesday. The e-mail, headlined “Stop the Hillary Juggernaut,” noted the entire field of Democratic White House candidates was raising far more than their Republican counterparts. “And that doesn’t even count the hundreds of millions of dollars Big Labor, Hollywood elites and liberal groups like MoveOn.org are raising to defeat Republicans in 2008,” Duncan said. “If Republicans don’t close the fundraising gap with the Democrats by the end of this year, we will not be able to defend our candidates from their vicious attacks and outright distortions,” he said, urging Republicans to donate to the RNC."
So let's do a simple experiment to test the theory of Hillary and GOP turnout. Let's see if GOP coffers do better in the 4th Q with Hillary headlining fundraising appeals than they have in the previous 3 Q.
Now this won't definitely prove the theory one way or another but it will give us an idea of how deep the Hillary hate runs. Its one thing to mouth it, its quite another to put actions in terms of donations and voting behind it.
