Florida Dems, Make Your Vote Count! Cross Over, Vote For Romney in the GOP Primary
I got this idea from another thread in which Giuliani wants Democrats to cross over and vote for him in the Florida Republican Primary. This is horse dookey. If Florida Democrats want to make their votes count despite the fact that their state has decided to make their votes not count by moving up their primary, you can always cross over and vote in the Republican primary for a really divisive candidate like the Mormon, who, according the recent polls has the highest unfavorability rating of any of the leading candidates of either party.

Vote for this year's Goldwater. Vote for Romney. Give him the early push he deserves. He represents true Republican values---a rich man with plastic hair who has flip flopped on the issues.

2. I disagree. Vote for Ron Paul
A vote for Ron Paul who completely opposed the War in Iraq would unsettle the Republican frontrunners.

If you want to vote Republican, vote Ron Paul.

3. From my close circle of Florida liberals....
Dems, Greens, Indys, we've all pretty much conceded that Hillary is going to get the nomination barring some incredibly bad scandal. I don't think she was ever a "Swift Boat Veteran" so Hannity and Limbaugh are going to have to work harder. Election day is going to be the only votes that count...maybe.
I sure wish Corrine Brown was raising more hell with the DNC though. With her bad wigs and stupid comments (too stupid to make dems look bad) she's always good for a few laughs.

6. I have a better idea. Vote for Gore.
In Florida the Chair of the Democratic Party has the authority to put Gore on the ballot. If your a Florida resident, contact Chair Karen Thurman email@fladems.com and tell her you want a chance to vote for Gore on January 29.

This diary has the details. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/10/4/81943/3550

7. Why would you want someone on the ballot who has shown no desire in running?
:shrug:

Let the man have his peace. He's not running, and if he doesn't want to, no amount of ballot placing will make him. Sheesh.

9. Sheesh indeed.
All Gore need do is say "If nominated I will not run, if elected I will not serve."

And as for the fire in the belly crap, what about George Washington, here's what he said about those wanting him for president in a letter to Benjiman Lincoln;

"I may, however, with great sincerity and I believe without offending against modesty or propriety, say to you that I most heartily wish the choice to which you allude (the presdency) might not fall upon me: and that, if it should, I must reserve to my self the right of making up my final decision, at the last moment when it can no longer be postponed;..."

Washington did pretty good without the mythical "fire in the belly."
